Javier Rodríguez Moreno
I am Associate Professor (Profesor Titular de Universidad) in the Department of Pedagogy at the University of Jaén, Spain, in the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences.
I am a qualified teacher in Early Childhood, Primary and Physical Education (University of Jaén), hold a degree in Early Childhood Education (University of Salamanca) and a degree in Pedagogy (Pontifical University of Salamanca). I completed a Master’s Degree in Research in Early Childhood and Primary Education and a PhD in Education at the University of Murcia, awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize.
Before joining the university I taught in Early Childhood and Primary Education, Secondary Education and Adult Education, and I worked as a teacher training adviser for the Regional Ministry of Education of Andalusia.
Research
I am a member of the research group INFORTED (Innovation, Training and Technology in Education), part of the Andalusian Research Plan (SEJ-641), and of the Andalusian Inter-University Institute for Research in Educational Technology.
My research focuses on the study, analysis and impact of ICT in teaching practice, the design and evaluation of digital educational materials for teacher training, educational innovation, and new technologies and teaching methodologies applied to education.
I currently hold two six-year research periods (sexenios) recognised by CNEAI, three five-year university teaching periods, and three regional teaching supplements recognised by ACCUA.
Teaching
I teach on the Bachelor’s degrees in Primary Education, Early Childhood Education and Social Education at the University of Jaén, and on several Master’s programmes: the Master’s in Secondary Education, Vocational Training and Language Teaching (UJA), the Master’s in Pedagogical Research and Innovation (UJA–UCO), the Master’s in Educational Technology (UNIA) and the Master’s in Personalised Education (UNIR). I also take part in the PhD programme in Didactic Innovation and Teacher Training at the University of Jaén and in the PhD programme in Educational Technology at UNIA.
Coordination and networks
I have been Coordinator of the area of Didactics and School Organisation at the University of Jaén, and I am Coordinator of the Ibero-American Network for Research in Educational Technology and Didactic Innovation in Higher Education (RIITID), AUIP.
